Why I Am Marrying Tad

I always said that if I "had to" get married, I would allow all of my brides-maids to wear whatever kind of black dress they wanted. Then I got the ring. All of the sudden, not only do I have to find a photographer who can magically make 40 pounds melt of my body for the pictures, I have to make sure that our bridal party looks snaz-tastic in those photos, too! LBD (Little Black Dress) get back on the rack! How about lapis? First, check with future husband. He thinks lapis is nice. Cool. Score one for Tad. Check with bridesmaids. They all agree that they will wear whatever I ask them to. WHAT? Cool. Score one for bridesmaids. This wedding planning stuff is easy so far. Then it dawns on me. Junior bridesmaid. What do they wear?! The other color? - Apple - Call Tad. He agrees. Great. Score another for Tad. So, today I realized that not only am I marrying a pretty fantastic guy who has a good eye but is agreeable on all things lapis and apple.

The Favour Of A Reply Is Requested....

The largest debate regarding the Petrick/Hutcheson wedding has been centered around invitations. While pouring over invitations, we surprisingly agreed on the invitation itself. We are still discussing what the invitation should say. We have time to finalize that. Thank you notes in the same card stock? Check. RSVP cards?! I say yes. Tad says no. Bride wins. I have learned that I am lacking social grace. When recieving a wedding invitation, I do not immediately pull out my personal stationary and scribe a beautiful note in the third person to the bride and groom stating whether or not I will be in attendance. I also don't include in that note my meal preference. That is what the RSVP card is for. Check meal option. State number of people attending. Bride wins.

We Got Engaged!!

In celebration of our 1st year together, Tad surprised me and took me on a pic-nic to Atlanta's Inman Park. He had a bag loaded with food, IPod loaded with music and a pocket loaded with jewelry! It was the surprise of my life and I am so glad that I get to share it with all of you! After the tears of joy, we celebrated with dinner at the restaurant where we had our first date (Wisteria) and then promptly returned the decoy ring he used to Wal-Mart.
